
India's biggest Maritime Conclave at Mumbai
The inauguration ceremony of ShipBuild India Expo Summit 2022 and Maritime Transport & Shipping India Expo 2022 has witnessed immense presence of industry’s key stakeholders graced the occasion on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 (Day 1).
Honorable Chief Guest Commodore Hemant Khatri, CMD – Hindustan Shipyard Limited, inaugurated the show alongside guest of honor Mr. Arun Sharma, Executive Chairman – IRCLASS, Ashish Pednakar – Chairman, Federation of Customs Brokers’ Association in India, and Mr. Shantanu Bhadkamkar, Managing Director – ATC Global Logistics Pvt. Ltd, Past President - AMTOI.

Mr. Arun Sharma, Executive Chairman – IRCLASS, shared his view of the need for industry stakeholders to collaborate and speak in one voice to propel India to maritime leadership. Chief Guest Commodore Hemant Khatri, CMD – Hindustan Shipyard Limited, shared his immense knowledge about defense shipbuilding and about the exclusive work by Hindustan Shipyard Limited.
Day 1 saw good footfall of industry leaders and stakeholders.
Day 2 commenced with the graceful presence of Minister of State for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Shripad Naik, with a Guard of Honour. Shri Shripad Naik visited several booths and shared his views and visions with the participating companies. Day 2 continued with Minister of State launching The Maritime Economy Magazine, a bimonthly magazine focusing on the maritime industry.
Organizer of the show Mr. Ali Patankar, Director Oceantrade Maritime, shared the vision of the company of “Enabling India’s Maritime Aspirations” with the wide portfolio of maritime exhibitions, PR services and publications.

Day 3 witnessed plethora of industry stakeholders, and the show floor experienced some key partnerships and decisions being taken.
Maritime Transport & Shipping India Expo 2022 and ShipBuild India Expo Summit 2022 concluded on a very positive note. Both the trade exhibitions and conferences received tremendous response, reviews, support and constructive feedback to work upon to make all future editions more dynamic for the participating companies as well as visiting trade buyers and business delegates.
