Loipart Waste Management Systems
Loipart Group, a world-leading supplier of marine galley equipment, provision rooms, and laundry systems, is strengthening and expanding its business with newly designed systems and equipment for ship-generated garbage. This initiative is launched in collaboration with its new partner company, A5 Marine Technologies AB.
The founders of A5 Marine Technologies AB bring years of expertise in environmental development within the maritime and offshore sectors, particularly in ship-generated garbage. As pioneers in this field, they have earned a strong reputation for offering cost-effective, compliant solutions backed by environmental expertise.

Ship-Generated Garbage
Managing ship-generated garbage has become increasingly complex, both legally and technically. A variety of waste types are produced during a vessel's operation. For effective waste management, it is essential to first identify and quantify these different waste streams. Too often, compactors are installed onboard but remain unused due to improper planning or training.
Globally, the management of ship-generated garbage is governed by MARPOL Annex V. The revised regulation, effective January 1, 2013, sets a minimum international standard for waste management, although specific regional or national regulations may impose stricter requirements.
Systems and Equipment
Loipart’s garbage management systems are developed in close cooperation with onboard crew members and are manufactured at the company’s facilities in Eura, Finland. The company supplies a comprehensive range of systems and equipment, including food waste systems (gravity or vacuum), chute systems, compactors, shredders, and crushers.
Leveraging its technical expertise and experience, Loipart offers clients around the globe efficient and innovative solutions to improve onboard environmental performance and strategies.
