Imabari Shipbuilding completes 13,900 TEU containership

The ship has a gross tonnage of 140,233.

Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has delivered ONE Sincerity, a 13,900 twenty-foot equivalent unit containership built in Hiroshima Shipyard.

According to Imabari Shipbuilding, the ship is a container-only vessel, with up to four rushing bridges on the deck. In addition to loading a large number of frozen containers on hold and decks, it also supports the loading of hazardous materials subject to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Transport Regulations.

“With the latest analysis technology, we have developed an optimum vessel type that pursues high efficiency in line with frequent ship speeds and drafts. At the same time, we have achieved high fuel efficiency by adopting energy-saving devices, twist steering, and hull outer plate paints that reduce friction with seawater,” the Japanese shipbuilding company said.

The ship has a length of 335.94 metres, a gross tonnage of 140,233, and has a speed fo about 22 knots.
