ABS and AMOG sign deal to advance mooring digital twins

The partnership aims to reduce offshore downtime.

ABS and AMOG Consulting signed a memorandum of understanding to advance digital twin technology for offshore mooring systems. The move aims to bring more commercial value to digital solutions in the offshore sector.

The partnership will develop digital twins for mooring lines, risers and other subsea components. These virtual models combine real-time data with engineering analysis to track asset condition and performance.

By leveraging ABS’s classification and regulatory expertise with AMOG’s monitoring technologies, the initiative aims to support condition-based maintenance, reduce downtime and optimise costs.

The collaboration reflects growing industry investment in digital solutions to improve efficiency, manage risk and extend the life of high-value offshore assets, according to the companies’ press statement.
