JMU-UK university pact accelerates offshore energy innovation efforts
Under the MoU, the two will establish a framework for collaboration across research, amongst others.
Japan Marine United Corporation (JMU) and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, United Kingdom, will cooperate to develop offshore renewable energy and maritime engineering.
The partnership brings together the University’s research expertise with the industrial capabilities of JMU, with the initial focus on the standardisation and mass production of floating offshore wind turbines.
Also, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will establish a framework for collaboration across research, education, continuing professional development, and policy and practice.
The University of Strathclyde is internationally recognised for its research on wind turbines, wind farm control, system optimisation, and offshore wind engineering.
