JCMC, COSCO SHIPPING Bulk sign cooperation agreement for 125 newbuilding bulk carriers

The vessels will use advanced antifouling coatings.

Jotun COSCO Marine Coatings (JCMC) signed a memorandum of cooperation with COSCO SHIPPING Bulk covering 125 newbuilding bulk carriers during the Global Partners Conference hosted by COSCO SHIPPING (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and COSCO Shipping (Hainan) Co., Ltd.

The agreement expands the long-term partnership between the two companies and focuses on improving vessel efficiency through advanced hull performance solutions.

Under the agreement, the vessels will be equipped with high-performance antifouling coating systems to reduce hull resistance, improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

Selected vessels will also be evaluated for the application of Hull Skating Solutions (HSS), depending on operational requirements.

The collaboration supports Jotun's Clean Shipping Commitment to reduce carbon emissions, improve fuel efficiency and protect marine biodiversity.
