APSEZ sets record, exceeds 500 million tonnes in cargo volume

The company is targeting to handle 1 billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZw) has crossed the 500-million-tonne mark in cumulative cargo handled, according to a press release.

The company said this reflects a progression in throughput, which took 16 years to reach the first 100 million tonnes, with subsequent 100-million-tonne increments achieved at progressively shorter intervals.

Currently, the company operates 19 ports and terminals across India and overseas and is targeting to handle 1 billion tonnes of cargo annually by 2030.
