ICTSI completes testing, installation in Philippine port upgrade

The current scope of works is scheduled for completion by the end of June 2026.

The Philippines’ NorthPort has completed key testing and installation milestones under its three-year structural upgrade programme at Pier 16 and Terminal 1, International Container Terminal Services Inc. said in a press release.

This follows ongoing work since April 2026 on an initial 40-metre segment within a 100-metre work area at Pier 16.

Pile Dynamic Analysis testing was also conducted at the pier, with results meeting the required design load and confirming compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Terminal 1 upgrades included underdeck repairs, wharf structure rehabilitation, and asset tagging to support maintenance management, alongside testing and piling operations.

The current scope of works is scheduled for completion by the end of June 2026, whilst the overall structural upgrade programme remains scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
