Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) reported a net income of $383.3m (¥61b) for the first quarter of financial year 2026, up from $363.5m (¥52.8b) a year earlier.
The company’s revenue reached $4.59b (¥730.9b), up $1.87b (¥298.2b) year on year, reflecting a change in fiscal year-end for certain consolidated subsidiaries, which brought six months of results from those units into the quarter.
By segment, Product Transport Business generated the largest revenue at $1.31b (¥208.5b), though ordinary profit in the segment fell to $44m (¥7b) driven by higher bunker costs.
Meanwhile, the Chemical Logistics Business, newly established this fiscal year, posted revenue of $1.04b (¥164.8b).
Moreover, the Dry Bulk Business revenue rose to $1.11b (¥177.1b) on steady capesize demand. Energy Business revenue reached $723.9m (¥115.b).
MOL plans an annual dividend starting at $1.31 (¥205) per share, an interim dividend of $0.64 (¥100) and a year-end dividend of $0.67 (¥105).
