ONE, Yusen Logistics partner for green shipping

It will reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 84%.

Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Yusen Logistics have signed an agreement to advance sustainable shipping through ONE's green shipping service, ONE LEAF+.

Under the partnership, ONE will use sustainable biofuels, cutting well-to-wake CO2 emissions by up to 84% compared to Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO). Yusen Logistics will offer this option to customers, helping them reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

“Through ONE LEAF+, we are offering customers the flexibility to reduce their supply chain emissions while maintaining the reliability they expect from ONE,” said Gilberto Santos, senior vice president of global commercial and service management, ONE.

Kohei Omura, head of the Ocean Freight Forwarding Group at Yusen Logistics, noted that the company is the first logistics provider in Asia to sign such an agreement with ONE. “We are proud to offer our customers more sustainable choices and contribute to reducing GHG emissions,” he said.
