UOG signs deal with Wison New Energies for up to 10 VLCCs
Each VLCC has a capacity of 319,000 DWT.
Wison New Energies has signed a contract with United Overseas Group Ltd. for up to 10 VLCCs, consisting of six firm orders and four optional vessels.
Each VLCC will have a deadweight capacity of 319,000 DWT, with deliveries scheduled to commence from the fourth quarter of 2027 onward.
This agreement marks the company’s first entry into the VLCC segment.
The project builds on Wison’s established track record in complex offshore engineering, including floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) units and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities.
The company said that the contract will further enhance its capabilities in large-scale vessel construction, multi-vessel program execution, and long-term project delivery reliability.
