Venture Energy supplies 1,000 tonnes of green methanol for HK bunkering operation
Largest single green methanol bunkering operation to date.
Venture Energy Limited facilitated the supply and delivery of 1,000 tonnes of green methanol for Hong Kong's largest single green methanol bunkering operation to date.
The bunkering vessel Da Qing 268, managed by Wah Kwong Ship Management, supplied the green methanol to the RoRo vessel CM Shenzhen, owned by China Merchants Guangzhou RoRo Shipping Co., Ltd. (CM RoRo).
The operation was carried out with Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited, while the green methanol was sourced from Shanghai Shenji Energy & Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shenergy Group.
The operation marks a step forward in the development of green marine fuel supply chains in the Greater Bay Area, linking fuel production sources in North and East China with demand from the regional shipping sector.
The bunkering operation supports Hong Kong's development as an international maritime centre and a green marine fuel bunkering hub, whilst highlighting the Greater Bay Area's growing green marine fuel supply chain.
Venture Energy said it will continue to support future green fuel bunkering activities through collaboration with partners across the supply chain.
