
World's first deep-sea aquaculture vessel named
It will be delivered in June.
The first deep-sea aquaculture vessel with a pollution-free seawater exchange system has been officially named "Bay Area Lingding."
According to the Chinese government, the vessel is currently being constructed in Zhuhai City, south China's Guangdong Province. It features natural water exchange functions, and integrates smart aquaculture practices with energy conservation, environmental protection, and a combination of fishery and tourism.
The vessel is scheduled for testing in April and delivery in June.
