This can carry bulk cargoes, grain, and coal, amongst others.

Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding has completed the 40,112-ton Angel Island bulk carrier.

In a statement, the company said the vessel has four deck cranes and has a maximum speed of 14.0 knots.

The vessel has a gross tonnage of 25,006 and was designed to transport bulk cargoes, grain, coal, ore, cement, steel coil, and long-size steel.

Imabari Shipbuilding said Angel Island has features that comply with environmental rules and regulations such as MARPOL convention, and the ballast water management convention.

The vessel achieves high propulsion performance by applying energy-saving devices, high-efficiency propeller, and low friction paint for outer hull plating.
