Draeger - Setting the Pace the Only Type 1 Approved Escaped Set

Draeger Limited has announced the approval of the new 1.5L Pacer escape set to BS 4667 Part 4,, Type 1.

Hazardous atmospheres can occur in any industry and in any work situation, but the one thing they have in common is the speed with which they can spread. So, when an emergency situation occurs you need to get out FAST.

This is recognised in BS 4667 Part 4 Type 1. The new Draeger 1.5L Pacer is the ONLY escape unit of its kind to conform to this specification.

The high level of air flow provided by the 1.5L Pacer constant flow escape respirator easily surpasses the approval requirements. It may be necessary to climb stairs or overcome other obstacles in order to escape, only the Draeger 1.5L Pacer allows this level of exertion.

The compact, lightweight and highly visible unit is easy to store and carry, protection to the head, eyes, neck and face is provided by the flame retardant hood material. An elasticated neck band ensures an air tight and can be worn by people with beards, spectacles and long hair. Full peripheral vision is offered by the wide angle anti-misting visor whilst C02 build up is minimised with the use of an air tight exhalation valve.

Whatever the working environment and whatever the threat is caused by fire and smoke, a leak of toxic gases or lack of oxygen, the Pacer provides full respiratory protection for ALL escape routes. The benefits of Pacer are particularly relevant to the chemical, shipping and water industries.
