The Hand Held Digital Marine Thickness Gauge

Portapaint is a dedicated paint coating thickness gauge for marine survey and all ferrous type materials. The unit is controlled by state-of-the-art microprocessor technology.

Measurement range is 10 microns to 8mm, and mm/micron conversion is provided at the touch of a button, enabling readings to be displayed on the easy-read digital LCD display as millimetres and microns.

Operation is simple. The ruggedised sensor is applied to the test piece provided, thereby calibrating the unit, and applied to the paint surface; the paint thickness will then be displayed. Accuracy level is +/- 10 microns, ie. 1 /100th of a millimetre.

Portapaint is battery powered. Rechargeables may be used, although conventional batteries are recommended for longer operating.
