Legasea and SeaTrek partner for new dry bulk freight venture
This will help consolidate their presence in the dry bulk sector.
Singapore-based dry bulk shipping operator Legasea has entered into a strategic partnership with SeaTrek Trans Pte Ltd to launch a new dry bulk freight business.
“The partnership will combine Legasea’s platform with SeaTrek’s market presence, risk management and commercial capabilities to deliver incremental value for the next phase of growth,” Legasea said in a statement.
The company said this partnership will help Legasea accelerate the expansion of its freight activities by leveraging the expertise and maritime network from the SeaTrek business.
“The result is a partnership positioned to address increasingly volatile and complex shipping markets with a simple objective to deliver reliable freight solutions,” Legasea added.
The commercial proposition will focus on targeted trade triangulations and bespoke cargo solutions, specifically evaluating opportunities to improve supply chain efficiencies with a customer-led approach. Through integrating resources and operational knowledge with SeaTrek, Legasea aims to strengthen its presence across key bulk commodity segments and niche markets.
