Imabari Shipbuilding delivers 40,000 DWT bulk carrier Norse Kamijima

The 183-metre ship achieved a speed of nearly fourteen knots.

Imabari Shipbuilding has completed the 40,000-weighted bulk carrier Norse Kamijima built in its Shimanami Shipyard Co., Ltd.

In a statement, the company said the vessel has a length of 182.93 metres (m), width of 31.00m, and depth of 15.00m. It has a gross tonnage of 25,240 and a speed of 13.75 knots.

This vessel is an ocean-going bulk carrier having a double hull hold construction of box shape with topside tanks. It is designed to be suitable for loading a wide variety of cargoes, such as bulk cargoes, grain, coal, ore, cement, steel coil, long size steel, etc.

This vessel has four (4) deck cranes, and each cargo hold has a wide size hatch opening and folding type hatch cover.
