SeaLead names Cho Kit Wei as CEO

He brings over 20 years of shipping industry experience.

SeaLead has appointed Cho Kit Wei as chief executive officer, effective 2 March 2026.

Cho, currently chief operating officer, has been with SeaLead since 2021. He brings over 20 years of shipping industry experience, having held senior roles at Simatech Shipping and Pendulum Express Lines.

“Whilst the global container shipping market faces softer demand and shifting trade patterns, it also presents opportunities to differentiate through service quality and operational excellence,” said Cho. “Building on our strong foundation, I look forward to advancing our growth strategy, strengthening our global position, and delivering value to our customers and partners.”

SeaLead also expressed its gratitude to outgoing CEO Suleyman Avci for his leadership and dedication.
