Strategic Marine hands over two of six contracted vessels to Mainprize Offshore
The agreement includes options for six additional units.
Strategic Marine has delivered the first two Supa Swath vessels to Mainprize Offshore, marking the start of a six-vessel contract signed at the Seawork 2024 exhibition to support offshore renewable operations in Europe.
The agreement includes options for six additional units. The delivery follows the 2024 service entry of the MO10 and MO11 vessels, the company said in a press release.
Walker Marine Design created the Supa Swath design, featuring fuel-efficient propulsion systems and advanced navigation technology tailored for offshore wind operations.
Bob Mainprize, Managing Director of Mainprize Offshore, described the delivery as a key step in fleet expansion, noting that the vessels’ construction and fit-out equip the company for offshore operations.
Chan Eng Yew, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Marine, said the delivery fulfils contract requirements for the offshore renewables sector.
Mainprize Offshore plans to meet operations and maintenance needs in the European offshore wind market, whilst Strategic Marine continues to provide specialised vessel solutions for offshore renewable projects.
