Inchcape enters Brunei offshore logistics network
The MPABD approval expanded ship-to-ship coordination in regulated waters.
Inchcape Shipping Services has opened a new office in Brunei Darussalam to support offshore, tanker, naval, and logistics operations in the country’s energy and maritime sector.
The company said Brunei is a key berthing and operational environment for naval vessels and has an established offshore oil and gas tanker sector linked to BSP and BSM activities.
The new office will initially focus on offshore support, oil and gas tanker agency services, naval operations, and integrated logistics services.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam has also appointed Inchcape as the authorised ship-to-ship agency.
The company has established strategic partnerships with local vendors to provide logistics services, including storage, transport, fabrication yard access, private jetty use for offshore vessel loading, and spare parts and repair support.
The Brunei office will operate with support from Inchcape’s Malaysia team.
Inchcape said this structure will support vessel turnaround and coordination across Brunei’s ports, including Muara Port, Kuala Belait Port, Lumut (BLNG), and Seria (Scott Terminal).
“With strong local partnerships and regional backing from our Malaysia team, we are well positioned to support offshore, tanker, naval and logistics operations safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with local requirements,” said Timothy Mpothraju, General Manager for Inchcape Shipping Services Brunei.
