SSA to develop AI learning platform for maritime workforce
AI will create personalised learning paths based on user needs.
The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) has partnered with OneLearn Global (OLG) to develop an AI-powered learning platform for the maritime industry.
The platform, called the Transformational Learning Hub (T-Learning Hub), will initially launch in Singapore before expanding globally.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will jointly develop, operate and maintain the AI-driven eLearning platform using OneCare Group's existing technology.
The platform will provide a centralised online course library for SSA members and the wider maritime sector, featuring content from the Singapore Shipping Association, OneLearn Global, and approved third-party providers.
It will use AI to deliver personalised learning pathways based on users' roles, experience and career goals.
The platform is also expected to add multilingual support as it expands into markets including Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and China.
“As the sector navigates rapid technological change and increasing regulatory complexity, there is a growing need for more agile, accessible and personalised training solutions,” said Capt. Sundeep Sequeira, managing director of OneLearn Global.
“This collaboration marks an important step forward in maritime training and innovation, helping to strengthen how we prepare our workforce for a more digital and fast-changing industry,” added Loh Chun How, executive director of SSA.
