RSGT, CMA CGM to invest $434m in Jeddah container terminal

Terminal will feature new deep-water berths for larger vessels.

Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) and CMA CGM Group will invest about $434m (SAR 1.6b) to develop and operate Terminal 4 at Jeddah Islamic Port in Saudi Arabia.

The project, developed with the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), will add up to 2.6 million TEUs of annual container-handling capacity.

The terminal will feature deep-water berths for the world's largest container vessels, 10 new ship-to-shore cranes, and advanced terminal technologies.

The expansion will increase Jeddah Islamic Port's capacity to handle larger vessels and major international shipping services, supporting higher trade volumes and stronger connectivity to global markets.

The project is part of RSGT's existing concession and supports Saudi Arabia's National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Vision 2030.
