ASOM unit secures $112.4m contracts in 9M
The subsidiary secured $27.2m worth of contracts in the third quarter alone.
Beng Kuang Marine’s Asian Sealand Offshore & Marine (ASOM), one of its core operating subsidiaries, secured approximately $112.4m in contracts and purchase orders in the first nine months of 2026.
The total comprised $85.2m in the first half (H1) and $27.2m in the third quarter (Q3), as ASOM continued to anchor the Group’s contracted workload.
The Singapore-based marine engineering company’s subsidiaries had approximately $71.5m of work remaining for delivery as of 30 September 2026.
ASOM accounted for $59.8m of the total, whilst International Offshore Equipments accounted for $7.8m and PT. Nexus Engineering Indonesia represented $3.9m.
In Q3, ASOM secured a $7.48m (US$5.84m) purchase order for offshore personnel to support tank works during a life-extension campaign on a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel in Angola.
The scope covers supervision, rigging, scaffolding, fitting, welding, blasting, painting, and rope access works.
ASOM’s contracts and purchase orders include FPSO maintenance and tank-services frameworks supporting life-extension programmes, with some scopes extending beyond FY2026, subject to contractual terms and operator requirements.
“The additional tank-services award this quarter, alongside the life-extension frameworks announced in the first half, illustrates how ongoing customer maintenance needs translate into successive work scopes,” said Yong Jiunn Run, CEO of Beng Kuang Marine.
Yong added that the group would focus on executing its contracts, maintaining service quality, and strengthening customer relationships across maintenance cycles.
