ClassNK unifies hull structure assessment in PrimeShip-HULL 2026.1 update
Users no longer need separate software versions.
ClassNK has released PrimeShip-HULL 2026.1, the latest version of its hull structure assessment software used by shipbuilders and design firms.
The updated platform introduces integrated evaluation capabilities for the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) Common Structural Rules for Bulk Carriers and Oil Tankers (CSR-B&T).
These functions are now consolidated within a single system aligned with the Rules for the Survey and Construction of Steel Ships, Part C, enabling users to conduct structural assessments across different rule sets without switching software versions.
Previously, users needed different versions of PrimeShip-HULL depending on whether they were applying Part C rules or CSR-B&T requirements. With the 2026.1 update, both can now be handled within one unified interface.
ClassNK said the upgrade simplifies workflow, improves consistency across rule applications, and enhances operational efficiency for ship design teams.
The 2022 launch of the current PrimeShip-HULL platform marked a major overhaul aligned with revised Part C rules.
Since then, the system has been continuously updated with usability improvements, automation features, and better integration with 3D CAD systems based on user feedback.
