Imabari Shipbuilding completes 40,000-ton VIGOR OL

The new vessel has the capacity to load bulk cargoes.

Japanese shipbuilder Imabari Shipbuilding has completed the 40,000-ton VIGOR OL, delivered to OceanLance Maritime.

This vessel is an ocean-going bulk carrier with a double hull hold construction of box shape with topside tanks. It is designed to transport bulk cargoes, such as grain, coal, ore, cement, steel coil, and long-size steel.

VIGOR OL has four deck cranes, and each cargo hold has a wide size hatch opening and a folding-type hatch cover.

This vessel achieves high propulsion performance by applying the energy-saving devices, a high-efficiency propeller, and low-friction paint for outer hull plating.
