NKK at International LNG Conference and Exhibition

NKK Corporation of Japan was among international participants at LNG 11, the 11th International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas which was held at the International Convention Center in Birmingham, England in July.

NKK displayed scale models of 18.800m3 and 150.000m3 LNG carriers incorporating the Technigaz Mark II membrane cargo tank system at its exhibit themed, "Membrane Technology and More: Storage, Transport...." Picture panels illustrating the "Aman Bintulu," the 18.000m3 LNG carrier NKK built for a Malaysia-Japanese joint owner, were also put up. The "Aman Bintulu" incorporates the Technigaz Mark II.

In addition, NKK demonstrated use of its automatic rotating arc welding machine for inground storage tank membranes and presented technical papers on "Up-sizing of LNG carriers" and "Small size LNG Projects."
