No You Are Not Seeing Double !
Vancouver-based ComNav Marine Ltd has developed an inexpensive Second Station option for their 1420 autopilot systerns. More than just a simple remote control, the Second Station is a full function device capable of performing all the Master Controller functions.
From either station the operator can start- up the 1420, do course changes, dodge obstacles, adjust gain settings or go into the "Nav" mode. Transferring command from one station to the other is as simple as holding down both the port and starboard keys for 2 seconds.
Installation takes only minutes to do and resetting the autopilot afterward is not required. The 1420 Second Station option comes complete with a mounting bracket, a terminal strip and a controller that has a 25-foot (7.5m) wandering lead.
