Strategic Marine delivers first ferry to Bintan Resort Ferries

The vessel can accommodate up to 293 passengers across two decks.

Strategic Marine has delivered Putri Mayang Sari, the first of three 43-metre passenger catamarans being built for Bintan Resort Ferries (BRF).

The vessel was named and delivered on 12 August at Strategic Marine’s Singapore shipyard. This follows its keel-laying in September 2025.

Designed and built by Strategic Marine, Putri Mayang Sari can accommodate up to 293 passengers across two decks, including 57 Emerald Class seats.

The vessel features a passenger-focused design aimed at improving onboard comfort while supporting efficient and reliable operations between Singapore and Bintan.

"The delivery of Putri Mayang Sari reflects the strong partnership, trust and shared vision between Strategic Marine and Bintan Resort Ferries to enhance regional connectivity and support the continued growth of tourism in Bintan and the wider region," said Chan Eng Yew, chief executive officer of Strategic Marine.

BRF currently operates three vessels, with two additional newbuilds scheduled for delivery in 2026. Once all three are delivered, the operator will have increased fleet capacity and operational flexibility.

Construction of the remaining two catamarans is underway at Strategic Marine’s Singapore shipyard.
