Tianjin Port pushes for full automation in North China

Robots are being used for faster operation.

Tianjin Port continues to push for full-process automation to build a smart and green hub port.

According to authorities, one of the technologies deployed in the port is smart transport robots that can deliver cargoes. There is also an automated quay crane for lifting containers.

Staff members can monitor the operation of the portl at an intelligent control center.

The port has realised full coverage of intelligent operation for its container and bulk terminals. The automation rate of large container equipment has exceeded 88%, whilst the average operation efficiency has improved by 15%.
