You Know Where you are with M-OV Small Boat CRTs
Equipment makers who fit’M—OV’s 1500B and 7 ABP know exactly where they are.
These tubes were developed specifically for use in medium and short range small boat PPI radar equipment.
Decca, for example, use a version of the 1500B in their 050 radar and fit the 7 ABP in their 101 set.
Although made rugged for marine use, these M—OV tubes are low in cost. Both are also economical on space and power. Neck diameter of the 1500B is 28mm, overall length 240mm, 53 degrees deflection angle, 9k V operation.
The 7ABP neck diameter is 35mm, length 342mm, deflection angle 52 degrees, operation 7kV. Both are suitable for use with solid-state circuitry.
