HMM holds naming ceremony for 9,000 TEU methanol-powered containership

This is one of the vessels capable of reducing carbon emissions by up to 65%.

HMM has conducted a naming ceremony for HMM CLOVER, a 9,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit methanol-powered containership.

The company said this is part of the same series as HMM GREEN delivered earlier this year.

HMM CLOVER is one of nine next-generation vessels, able to run on bio-methanol which is capable of reducing carbon emissions by up to 65%.

“As these vessels join our fleet, we’re strengthening both our service network and our commitment to sustainable shipping,” HMM said.
