Hanwha Ocean delivers second Cadeler turbine vessel ahead of schedule
Wind Mover WTIV will support the rapidly growing offshore wind market in Europe.
Hanwha Ocean has announced the delivery of Wind Mover, the wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) ordered by Cadeler.
In a statement, Hanwha Ocean said it completed the delivery signing on 28 November and sailed away on 2 December.
Wind Mover is one of the two WTIVs ordered by Cadeler in 2021. The other one was delivered in January this year.
“We completed the delivery of both ships about one month ahead of schedule… The vessel will showcase its abilities in Europe, whilst the previous one is operating in Taiwanese waters,” the company said.
“The offshore wind power market is one of the fastest-growing segments in renewable energy, and offshore wind turbines now feature increasingly large capacities. With the successful delivery of the WTIVs, we reaffirmed our technological and shipbuilding capabilities in the market,” it added.
