Hanwha Ocean starts construction on 390MW Shinan Ui offshore wind project

It is scheduled for completion in 2029.

Hanwha Ocean has begun construction on the 390MW Shinan Ui Offshore Wind Project off the coast of Shinan, South Korea.

The offshore wind farm is scheduled for completion in 2029.

The company is serving as the project's developer and lead engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, overseeing development, permitting, financing, engineering, procurement and construction.

Hanwha Ocean is also investing approximately KRW 800 billion to build a next-generation Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) to support offshore wind projects.

“Hanwha Ocean will not only contribute to building South Korea’s offshore wind ecosystem and support the energy transition, but also continue to expand new opportunities for growth in the global market,” the company said.
