Oceans have a critical role in supporting communities, economies, and ecosystems. To maintain the balance between development and marine conservation, organisations are adopting innovative approaches that protect ocean resources whilst generating long-term environmental, social, and economic impact.
The Oceanus Awards 2027 returns to recognise these outstanding efforts. The awards programme celebrates the organisations leading the way in safeguarding oceans through initiatives that demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing sustainability in marine and coastal sectors.
The programme welcomes entries from organisations involved in marine conservation, fisheries and aquaculture, ports and shipping, renewable ocean energy, coastal development, tourism, research institutions, technology providers, government agencies, and non-government organisations.
Following a successful inaugural edition, the Oceanus Awards continues to recognise organisations setting new benchmarks for the industry. Amongst the first recipients were Drydocks World (DDW), honoured with both the Carbon Reduction Initiative of the Year - United Arab Emirates and Circular Economy Initiative of the Year - United Arab Emirates awards for its leadership in sustainable maritime operations. McDermott was recognised with the Offshore Energy Project of the Year - Malaysia award for the successful execution of the Shell FaS project, highlighting its contribution to advancing cleaner and more sustainable offshore energy solutions.

Nominations officially open on 17 August 2026 and will be accepted until 30 October 2026.
