Container fire hits EVER LENIENT docked at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal
The SCDF led containment of container fire whilst port operations remain unaffected.
A fire involving containers on board the London-registered container vessel EVER LENIENT at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal, Singapore, has been extinguished following firefighting operations that continued through the night, according to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
The port authority said it was alerted on 10 April 2026 at about 3 p.m. whilst the vessel was berthed at the terminal. All crew members have been accounted for. No injuries and no oil pollution have been reported.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) led firefighting operations, with support from PSA Singapore and MPA.
SCDF continued cooling operations after extinguishing the fire to remove residual heat. MPA deployed three patrol craft to the site. SCDF and MPA used drones and patrol craft to support aerial surveillance and establish a seaward cordon during the operations.
PSA Singapore is assisting with the discharge of the affected containers.
MPA said safety measures remain in place at the berth and that port operations at Pasir Panjang Terminal have not been affected.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Further updates will follow if significant developments occur.
