Samudera Shipping Line Limited has entered into a memorandum of agreement to acquire a second-hand container vessel for $64.9m (US$50.36m) with an unrelated third party.
The vessel has a total capacity of 2,684 twenty-foot equivalent units and is expected to be delivered by the fourth quarter of the year.
The acquisition will be financed through a combination of internal resources and bank borrowings.
