Yangzijiang Maritime adds 24 newbuilds for 2028‑30 delivery
This brings its newbuild portfolio to 98 vessels.
Singapore Exchange-listed Yangzijiang Maritime has added 24 newbuilds to its portfolio, with deliveries scheduled between 2028 and 2030, according to a bourse filing.
The additional newbuilds consist of six bulk carriers of about 64,500 deadweight tonnage (DWT) each and six product oil/chemical tankers of about 49,800 DWT each.
The group also ordered eight stainless steel chemical tankers, comprising four of about 28,000 DWT each and four of about 29,000 DWT each. Four oil tankers of about 319,000 DWT each are also included.
This will bring the group’s newbuild portfolio to 98 vessels, including options, comprising seven newbuilds that have been delivered, 75 firm newbuilds under construction, and 16 optional newbuilds.
Yangzijiang Maritime said the newbuilds will be constructed in accordance with IACS classification standards and high technical and environmental standards, and will feature comprehensive eco-notation features.
The group added that the vessels will be funded through a combination of equity co-investment and debt financing.
Ren Yuanlin, Executive Chairman and CEO of Yangzijiang Maritime, said the vessels’ designs “meet the evolving requirements of a maritime industry increasingly shaped by environmental regulations and the transition towards lower-emission shipping.”
