YANTIAN joins 16 ports in APEC sister port cooperation agreement

Advanced collaboration on smart, green, and sustainable port development.

Hutchison Ports YANTIAN (YANTIAN) has signed the memorandum of understanding on APEC Sister Port Cooperation (MoU) with 16 ports from 10 APEC member economies during the Shenzhen Port Global Supply Chain High-Quality Development Conference 2026.

The agreement brings together ports from Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Thailand, the United States, and Viet Nam under the shared vision of "Benefitting from New APEC Opportunities, Forging a New Future for Port and Shipping Cooperation."

The participating organisations will work together to advance smart port development, green port technologies, trade facilitation, and maritime workforce development.

YANTIAN also joined Shenzhen Port Group, the Port of Los Angeles, and the Port of Long Beach in launching the Shenzhen Port International Green Shipping Corridor Cooperation Initiative, aimed at accelerating maritime decarbonisation and building more sustainable global supply chains. 

Separately, Hutchison Ports signed an MoU with Midea Group, a global smart home and technology company, and TCL Industries to strengthen supply chain collaboration in support of the companies' international expansion.
