The facility is located Mapletree Benoi Logistics Hub.
DP World has opened its first-ever logistics asset in Singapore, marking its expansion in the Asian logistics market.
In a statement, DP World said the 13,000 square metre (sq.m.) multi-user bonded, purpose-built warehouse is located at Mapletree Benoi Logistics Hub.
This follows the launch of similar facilities in Incheon, South Korea and Hong Kong. So far, DP World manages more than 800,000 sq.m. of warehousing space across the region.
“This new addition will better fortify our offerings across the entire spectrum of logistics services, backed by our network of ports and terminals in the region,” said Glen Hilton, CEO & managing director for DP World in Asia Pacific.
As part of its expansion in the region, DP World rolled out key acquisitions in the last twelve months, including Singapore-based Legend Global Logistics. It has also completed the takeover of Savan Logistics and Cargo Services Far East, and announced a $50m investment to develop a new logistics centre in Busan New Port.
