Man Rider Winches
In offshore and onshore drilling, lifting and moving people requires the highest standards in safety, and lifting equipment must be durable enough to withstand harsh rig environments. Ingersoll Rand delivers on those needs with personnel lifting winches built to excel when tough just isn't enough.
150kg Dedicated Man Rider™ Winches from Ingersoll Rand meet tough safety and regulatory standards, including Design Approval (and Full Type Approval options) by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and CE Marking. Units are also available for ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments per directive 94/9/EC.
Ingersoll Rand 150kg Man Rider® Winches have a number of key safety features:
Variable Speed Controls with safety throttles – provide precise control while preventing accidental throttle actuation
Automatic multi-disc brake and automatic band brake – provide precise spotting capability and reliable stopping ability
Overload protection device – activates when the load exceeds 125% of the rated capacity, shutting down the motor and applying both brakes
Emergency stop button – allows the operator to quickly and safely stop the winch
Emergency Lowering System – allows for emergency lowering in the unlikely case of an air or hydraulic system failure
Slack wire detector – this device automatically stops the winch from paying out in case of a slack wire condition, and is easily configurable to a multitude of takeoff angles
Upper and lower limit switches – automatically stop the winch when travel exceeds the upper and lower limits set by the user
These unique, purpose-built winches offer other features such as grooved drums and press rollers for assisted spooling. Options such as pedestal bases, drum guards, stainless steel hoses and offshore paint improve longevity in extreme conditions and help these winches withstand almost any environment.
Ingersoll Rand 150kg Man Rider® Winches are available as pneumatic or hydraulic models.
