Sembcorp marine's Brazilian shipyard completes Petrobras P-71 FPSO

deployed to the ultra- deepwater Itapu field in Brazil's Santos Ba- sin. When launched into operation, P-71 will produce up to 150,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). Mea- suring 316m in length and 54m in width, P-71 has a 1.6-million-barrel storage capacity and can accommodate 166 persons.

 

 

EJA's P-71 work scope includes fabri- cating six modules, pipe-racks and a flare, and integrating them on the vessel along with other modules and items supplied by the customer. EJA also executed modification works on the FPSO's topsides and hull to meet Itapu field re- quirements.

The 82.5ha EJA fa- cility has been operat- ing in the Espirito San- to municipality of Aracruz since 2014 and employs up to 4,500 workers during peak periods of production activities. Besides tap- ping into the burgeon- ing local offshore oil and gas industry, EJA, with its strategic loca- tion on the east coast of Brazil is able to ser- vice field develop- ments in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and West African regions.

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA), Semb- corp Marine's wholly- owned integrated ship- yard in Brazil, is locat- ed on an 82.5ha site with a 1.6km long coastline in Aracruz, a municipality of the state of Espirito Santo. The shipyard com- menced operations in the second half of 2014. It has a 1km long ber- thing quay with water depth of up to 15.5m, ancillary piping facili- ties, a steel fabrication workshop with a 4,000- tonne monthly produc- tion capacity, and cranes with lifting ca- pacity of up to 3,000 tonnes.

EJA undertakes:
• Construction drillships, semi-sul mersible and jack-u rigs, platforms and su ply vessels;
• Integration of Fl SOS;
• Fabrication of to side modules; and
• Repair and moc dification of drilling ris and different shi types.
